Since the beginning of the 20th century it can be considered that the automotive industry was the inventor of serial production, or, at least, it was there where the concept of industrial production was mainly developed and optimised; and even today, with its constant improvement, it finds its maximum growth in all the industrial processes involved in serial production.
For this reason, the automobile was a very important element in the labyrinth of conveyor belts in Automatic Fitness. The car plays also a very important part as an accelerator of modern times. The model of our car was inspired by several models from the late 1960's. It was a mixture of Fiat 600, BMW Isetta or Renault Gordini. The car had to be a middle class model, small and uncomfortable for a whole family but enough to satisfy the dream of mobility and also, obtainable by means of attainable instalments.
The Cameras: they were made assembling all type of parts that looked like parts of old photographic cameras. We made these look like old cameras as aesthetically these are more pleasant than modern digital cameras. For the short film it was an everyday element that represented the press and the media as a type of machine that works on its own and is part of an industrial process.
Based on the same concept we also built the balance. Many of the objects were placed in the scene without any modifications. The mechanical arm that transports the grown pig is an object that was found ready to use, it was cleaned and polished to highlight the metal that gives it the weight and strength that it needs. In the bar, the cups, glasses and bottles are objects that we found and can be used proportionally, although the measure is not realistic.

Der Stuhl ist ein Automatischer Thron der Technologischen Ära. Mit ihm kann man blitzschnell jede Ecke in der Umgebung erreichen. Er ist eine Mischung aus Fahr- und Rollstuhl. Der Hebel an der rechten Armlehnedient als Schalter und zur Motorsteuerung des automatischen Stuhles. Er ist in einem Kreuzschlitz nachvorne, nach hinten und nach links und rechts beweglich, wobei verschiedene Geschwindigkeitstufen geschaltetwerden können. Der untere Teil besteht aus viereckigen Röhren, die ineinander passen und auseinandergezogen werden können wie eine hydraulische Mechanik, um den Stuhl nach oben zu bewegen.
